This Barrie project features a fully waterproof, two-level Trex deck with RainEscape drainage, outdoor kitchens, a hot tub zone, and scenic lake views—expertly built by Delta Decks, certified TrexPro® installers.

✨ Key Features & Design Elements

  • Full Trex RainEscape Waterproofing System
    We installed a complete Trex RainEscape system with integrated eavestroughs to divert water away from the upper deck, creating a dry, usable patio space below.
  • Double Outdoor Kitchen Integration
    The homeowner installed kitchens on both levels, which required precise framing and planning to ensure clearances, waterproofing, and utility access were seamlessly incorporated.
  • Custom Privacy Screens
    Screens were installed on both sides of the deck to provide privacy without obstructing airflow or natural light, enhancing comfort for dining and lounging areas.
  • Hot Tub Area with Framed TV Wall
    On the lower level, we built a dedicated hot tub space complete with a custom-framed privacy wall wired for a mounted outdoor television—turning this backyard into a true entertainment zone.

⚙️ Challenges & Solutions

  • Multiple Integrated Features:
    Coordinating framing and layout for outdoor kitchens, a hot tub, and a TV wall required detailed planning and execution.

  • Waterproofing Around Structures:
    Installing the Trex RainEscape system while maintaining watertight integrity around posts, kitchens, and privacy screens was a key technical challenge.

  • Electrical & Structural Coordination:
    Routing electrical for the hot tub and outdoor TV required precise framing and safe integration within the deck structure.

  • Privacy Without Compromising Light:
    Custom privacy screens were designed to maintain seclusion while allowing airflow and sunlight to keep the space open and inviting.

  • Code-Compliant Railing Design:
    Stair railings had to meet local building code with top and bottom rails, while still matching the clean look of the Century Scenic system.

✅ Project Outcome

This two-tier Trex deck turned a standard backyard into a functional, all-season retreat. The fully waterproof lower patio, seamless integration of outdoor kitchens, and spa-quality hot tub zone provide the homeowners with luxury, low-maintenance outdoor living that will last for decades.

The project was completed just in time for summer, and the family now enjoys uninterrupted lake views and ample space to entertain.
